On March 8, Johnny Walker, Jim Glover and Joanne and Davis Walker hosted a book signing with Totsy Walker.
Totsy is an old Marietta resident who illustrated "The Sea Serpent's Dance," by Antonia Bissell Laird, whom she met in St. Simon's Island. Laird is a former State Poet Laureate of Delaware.

Net News! Congratulations to Mitchell Rostowky of Kennesaw! Mitchell won the Allcourt Jr. Satellite Series: Spring Satellite Georgia Level 5 tennis tournament held March 2 at Laurel Park. The tournament is sanctioned by USTA. Mitchell played Boys Singles 10 and under. This was his first tournament.
Mitchell is the son Michelle and Kevin Rostowky.

The Marietta-based rock band Foxfire is hosting a festival to celebrate Women's History Month, focusing on art and music from female artists. The festival is March 22 at Lenny's Bar and Grill at 486 Decatur Street in Atlanta. The purpose of the festival is to promote awareness of women, especially local women, in art and music.
Foxfire relocated to Marietta last year, when their drummer and part-time singer Kris Hale and her husband, Stephen Carrington (who plays bass guitar and sings back-up with Foxfire), moved to the east Cobb area, where Carrington grew up.

On March 15, the Marietta Wine Markets hosts Jordan and Cakebread Tasting featuring Jordan and Cakebread wines. This event is open to the public and benefits cystic fibrosis. $10 per person.
