Joe Kirby: Georgia Music Hall of Fame should copy Rock hall and ... 'Plug in' to Atlanta 08/24/2008
Americans always have tended to build their "halls of fame" in the wrong places, i.e., far off the beaten path. Karen C. Handel/Letter to the Editor: Rulings were right, despite what Shipp wrote 08/22/2008
It's too bad that in today's political environment elected officials who follow and enforce the law are so easily labeled as part of some "partisan conspiracy" or, in my case, labeled as the "next Katherine Harris."

Martin Schram: 'Cone of Silence' complaints are just silliness 08/22/2008
The noise over the so-called "cone of silence" - and whether John McCain was really hermetically sealed in it during last week's evangelical civility summit - has grown in intensity and idiocy.

William Norris/Letter to the Editor: 00000Chambliss wrong to compromise on energy 08/21/2008
U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss' support of the "New Energy Reform Act of 2008" is very disappointing and shows a lack of leadership on his part.
|
Bill Lyons/Letter to the Editor: Curbing growth easier said than done 08/21/2008
The guest editorial from the Savannah Morning-News in Tuesday's MDJ exhibited sound thinking in supporting Georgia's position in the water-rights court action.

Ruth Finnegan/Letter to the Editor: Not all parents to blame for NCLB woes 08/21/2008
While reading the letter from Ms. Gall, I found myself nodding in agreement - until I came to the last sentence.
