Bill Shipp: Could Sam help Obama? 05/11/2008
Where is Sam Nunn now that Barack Obama really needs him? Former Sen. Nunn's endorsement and support were fine for the primary. Obama swept Georgia, which might have happened anyway. Nunn hasn't been heard from much since he publicly joined the Obama parade. But his presence has not been needed in his candidate's string of triumphs.

NEW ORLEANS - "Slowly." That's how locals here describe how the Crescent City is recovering from August 2005's Hurricane Katrina. While it has many miles to go, however, New Orleans noticeably has advanced since I visited a year ago. It has improved vastly since November 2005, when I witnessed how badly The Storm had socked this Southern belle.
