As the calendar turns to 2008, Cobb has numerous teams that are playing quality high school basketball.

With tonight's games (10/12) every team in Cobb County is officially in the second half of the season. As it appears right now North Cobb has overachieved being ranked No. 3 in Class AAAAA, Harrison and Walton is right where most people would have expected them and Marietta and Campbell have been pleasant surprises.

October 29 is the first day high school basketball teams can start practice for the 2007-08 season. Last year Whitefield Academy was within a game of winning the state title. The majority of its team was made up of underclassmen, so they should have a good chance of getting back to the Final Four.
